About the Event
AI2Med Turku 2025 brings together researchers, clinicians, and students to advance research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine. The event promotes scientific exchange, collaboration, and networking across diverse disciplines, including computer science, data science, bioinformatics, imaging, and clinical research.
Who Can Present
We invite PhD and MSc-level researchers and research-oriented students or clinicians to present their work. Any research that applies artificial intelligence or data-driven methods to health-related problems is welcome. The scope is intentionally broad. If your work includes AI in the methodology or contributes to medical, biomedical, or healthcare research, it fits the event’s theme. If you are uncertain whether your topic aligns with the scope, we encourage you to submit your title anyway. Presentations will be selected with consideration for scientific relevance and quality, and we aim to accommodate all relevant contributions.
Presentation Formats
Research Talk (15 minutes total)
Each talk consists of 10–12 minutes of presentation followed by 3–5 minutes of discussion. This format is intended for more developed research projects that include results, methodologies, or preliminary findings suitable for a short conference-style talk. Talks should be designed for a multidisciplinary audience and focus on clarity, key outcomes, and the relevance of AI methods to healthcare.
Slots available: 10
Research Pitch (≈5 minutes)
The pitch format offers a brief and dynamic opportunity to present early-stage, conceptual, or exploratory work, such as project ideas, ongoing experiments, or research proposals. The emphasis is on the motivation, aims, and potential impact rather than complete results. Pitches are ideal for generating feedback and sparking collaborations among participants.
Slots available: 10
Poster Presentation (A0 portrait)
Posters will be presented during an afternoon poster session, designed for informal discussions between authors and attendees. This format allows presenters to share their work in depth, receive direct feedback, and build professional connections in a relaxed setting.
