Turku BioImaging and Field of View organized an Image competition earlier this year, where scientists were invited to submit their images and showcase their artistic side and scinetific flair. The jury did not have an easy task, as there was quite many fantastic images, but only one came out as a winner. The results were announced during the BioCity Symposium by Klaus Elenius, the Scientific Director of BioCity Turku. 
The winning image was “Gallus gallus” by Erica Långbacka and Anna-Mari Haapanen-Saaristo. Congratulations to winners for taking and submitting the intriguing image.
