The third edition of Turku Imaging Day (TID) took place on 22 October 2025 at Caribia, Turku, gathering around 180 participants from across academia, industry, and the imaging community. The event once again proved to be a vibrant platform for sharing knowledge, networking, and celebrating the many dimensions of imaging science. The evening was organized by Field of View research program and Turku BioImaging with a support from BioCity Turku.

This year’s TID featured a diverse scientific program, including nine talks covering a broad range of imaging-related topics, five fantastic flash talks, and an interactive panel discussion that sparked lively audience participation.
In addition, four companies showcased their technologies and solutions at their interactive booths, while over 25 scientific posters highlighted the creativity and research efforts of early-career scientists.

Participants had plenty of opportunities to connect during two coffee breaks, a joint lunch, and an evening networking event, which concluded the day on a relaxed and festive note. The evening was spiced up with an imaging-themed pub quiz, adding a fun and interactive twist to the scientific gathering.

The session continued with a talk from Kari Vienola and fantastic images from the human eye. First session also included several talks from early career researchers and interesting science they focus on.

The second session turned the focus toward medical and clinical imaging, featuring several high-level presentations, including Aino Latva-Rasku’s fantastic talk that captured the audience’s attention with real-world applications of PET imaging in healthcare. The session ended with five flash talks, all very dynamic  and captivating!

The final session began on an energetic note with Joanna Pylvänäinen’s dynamic presentation, taking the audience on a journey from academia to industry and highlighting the evolving role of imaging across sectors.
