TBI is now looking for an enthusiastic and extrovert person to deputize one TBI coordinator during her maternity leave. The contract will start upon agreement in June/July 2019 and continues until the end of May 2020.
One of the main tasks is the coordination of the international MSc Degree programme in Biomedical imaging at Åbo Akademi University. This task involves planning and organization of courses, coordinating the annual admission, and student guidance. Other duties include preparation of grant applications and reports, organization of meetings, seminars and symposia, internal and external communications of the local and national imaging networks. Additionally, the coordinator handles the Euro-BioImaging infrastructure user access application process.
The coordinator works in an international team with close collaboration to the director of TBI, the master’s program director and study administration of both universities.
A higher-level university degree is required, preferably in life sciences. Administrative experience and knowledge of imaging will be advantageous. The coordinator works in a multidisciplinary and international environment and must therefore have excellent communication and collaboration skills, motivation and ability to work independently, and have interest towards administrative matters and towards developing TBI activities. Experience or interest in marketing and imaging will be advantageous. Knowledge of English is absolutely required, Finnish and Swedish are a bonus.
The salary is in accordance with the Finnish University salary system for other personnel job demand level 8-9 depending on candidate´s previous experience. The employment is at Åbo Akademi University, Department of Biosciences, Cell biology.
